"Nightfall" is a rich, moody mug with a softly ribbed body and deep, atmospheric glaze work.  It began as a bisque piece, the was transformed with layered hand-applied glazes that blend like a sunset sinking into the horizon.  
 
The base is a dark, earthy brown, rising into waves of blue, denim, lavender, amethyst, and gold-brown hues.  The transitions are soft and smoky, giving it that dusk-after-sunset feeling - warm glow meeting nighttime sky.
 
The interior is a deep blue/indigo, creating a dramatic contrast that makes the colors on the outside pop.
