Name came to me because of  the combination of colors and how they flow so beautifully and smoothly together.  The center of inside of the bowl even reflects a sand colored glaze making this aptly named.  On the bottom you will see dark blues introduced to the color mix reminding me of the deeper waters of the ocean.  Being a fan of all things water I love this bowl and the serene and beautiful colors easily transport me to sitting on the sand beachside enjoying the beauties offered by Mother Earth.
